Dear Friend of the American Civil War Charitable Trust ™,
The following is a list of organizations involved in American Civil War historic preservation activities. However, please be mindful of the fact that historic preservation takes various forms and, while battlefield preservation may jump to mind, many other organizations are working to preserve the history of this era. Among these you will find groups dedicated to saving or maintaining historically significant sites and artifacts; to caring for and preserving Civil War Veterans’ graves; or to aiding and encouraging educational activities promoting an understanding of the period. It is our intent to financially assist a wide variety of organizations, so the list below is by no means all-inclusive. Therefore, once you decide to support this initiative, you will be asked to choose either one of the groups listed below, or you may add a group more closely aligned with your own particular interests. Should you choose to name a group of your own, that group will then be added to the list for others to consider upon enlistment. So, please join with us so that together, we may continue the struggle to secure our National heritage.
